Week 57- Families can be together forever

So this week was okay! I’m not going to lie it was a little rough for me to hear about Beth! We were in Natal, because we had our reunion with all the liderana of the mission, and we traveled on our Pday, Monday morning! We got to natal and we passed the internet there and then we had a baptism of the daughter of my recent convert, Monica! Remember her??? It was soooo great to be back in Natal and to see all the members there and to catch up on old times!! It was weird cause it has been 1 year since I have been back in that area with the members have a baptism! haha Deja Vu ya know!! haha it was like a roller coaster of emotions that day! We then had the conselho and it was cool to see everyone!! We got back to our area in caicó late Wednesday! So this week I was just really tires, I didn’t sleep well this week so each day was like 15345 hours! It was rough too because I was thinking about Beth and The Family! It was crazy though, I know the Lord was looking out for me and answering all my prayers asking for comfort! I was studying one morning and I found a talk by David A Bednar in the Liahona) Ensign?) of August I think, and it was talking about the Lord´s timing! On how we have to have faith and confidence in the Lord and His timing! He talked about a couple that recently got married (3 weeks) and the husband found out that he had cancer! And he goes on to tell their story and one day he visited them in the hospital and he went to give a blessing and he asked the couple if they were willing to not be healed!?  It just goes to show that our faith always need to be in the Lords timing and in his way! Sometimes it´s not what we want, but it is what we need! I just thought about the Power of the Priesthood, and that if it were to be a part of the Lords plan, anyone and everyone can be healed! But it´s not always roses and sunshine! But I know in the end, when we live Righteously, we will have that Happily Ever After with that sunshine and roses haha!! It was just one of the examples this week that I had that showed me that my Heavenly Father and my Savior were looking out for me and were there to help me learn more about his plan for all of us and for me to grown I my faith!

I am so grateful to have known Beth and her wonderful family! I am excited to see her again! I´m missing her a lot, but I know that it is only temporary!

Families can be together forever! :)

Week 56 - I know that Beth can watch over us now.

I am just really sad about Beth!!  Crying (typical) writing this email!!

The last message that Alan left was just so nice!! Loved it...crying as usually but I am also happy that she doesn’t have any more pain and that she isn’t suffering!!...que saudade dela!!

I know that she can watch over us now, but man I didn’t even get to say bye!

Send my love to everyone there...Alan, Ben, Ella Caroline, and Lily 

I´m so grateful for the Plan of Salvation, but just send my love to them, ok! and a BIG HUG!!!

(mom note:  Our dear friend Beth Mowrey passed away on August 31st.  She was a great role model to Natalie and to all those with whom she had contact.  We will miss her!)

Week 55- Spoke in Sacrament meeting this week.

haha I loved all the pictures from this past week...woah Taylor White!! that´s a throwback to freshman year in high school!!!

how´s Beth doing.,. Send her a big hug from me okay!! tell her to wait till I come home to move onto the next life!!!

this week was great! We worked really hard to have this baptism this weekend, and it all payed off!

Junior is the husband of a recent convert! He has problems with smoking cigarettes! but we worked so hard this week to help him wuit. He was smoking 40 and by the end of the week we was smoking 1 per day!! WOOOAAAHHHH

The baptism was really nice! The bishop was really supportive (miracle) and the President of the Quoroms baptized him! Jorge, a recent convert and his brother-in-law) was all there to support him! When we got to his house Sunday Morning he said that he wasn’t going to go to church and be baptized!! (Sister Pinheiro and I took a deep breath and we were like Senhor, help us please haha) and he said that he wasn’t going to go to church because he didn’t have any pants clean to use!

we were like you can go in shorts if you want, no problem, but he was no, no I won’t go no. As we were talking to him, Jorge (he lives on the other side of the street) Left without saying a word and then came back about 3 minutes later with jeans in his hand and he just said, ´put these on, we´re going to church´ hahah LET´S GOOO!!! BATIZADOR!!!

haha it was great!! The baptism was so nice, it felt so good to see this family together!!!

There was another baptism that the other sisters had...remember that I talked about Fabio, from my last area!! WEL HE WAS BAPTIZED YESTERDAY TOO!!! I cried a little bit because I just felt so blessed to be a part of his baptism, even though It won´t be marked as my baptism, I know that I was there from the beginning and I know the happiness that he will feel because of the work Sister Sigaran and I did with him when we were together in Seridó!!

So yeah, Sunday was great!!

I´m trying to take dad´s advice and just let it go! It´s working! there are a lot of people here that lie and don´t commit to anything, and at the end of the day you just got to go get a popsicle and maybe even a bar of chocolate to de-stress and to keep on going haha!!

The Lord works in mysterious ways, and I am so grateful to be a part of this great work here in Caicó! :)

Sister Pinheiro and I gave talks in church yesterday! I based my talk on missionary work, and on the Section in Doctrine and Covenants 18..in verse 28 it talks about the commitment that we make to take the Lords name over us, and with this commitment that we made, The Lord called us to preach his gospel to everyone!! What I got out of this was that EVERYONE in the church who is a member, is also called to preach the gospel! It doesn’t matter if you a missionary or not, you were called to preach the gospel to everyone when you were baptized and promised to take His name over you!!

I was like let´s go people...trying to help our ward work with us and be more excited to do missionary work with us!!

I suggest to you to study this section in the Doctrine and Covenants! It´s sooo good!! I got the idea when I was reading the conference talk given by Elder Gong this past conference on how we should Remember our Savior!!
